I moved to a new place in a different city and there are 40 unneutered cats. I have started to treat them for parasites and want to get them neutered.

There are around 40 unneutered cats in my new neighbourhood. I started the process with the females, but how many cats can be neutered, and wehn neutering can hapopen depends on the shelter, cause they make the desicion to neuter or not neuter every week. It is really stressful. In the meantime, I feed the cats to gain their trust, so that I can take them to neutering when the shelter approves. I spend 30-40 kilos dry food to feed them every month. The cats also have fleas and ticks so I bought them flea drops too. There is a neighbour here who is against neutering. This is the hardest part of it.
I am Ayse. I live in Izmir and have started rescuing cats from the street in 1991. The first cat I rescued is Toygar. I found him with a broken leg and brougth him to the vet. Over the years, I have helped by treating and neutering more cats than I can count. In the winter, fewer people care for the strays, so at times, I even take care of 50+ cats and some dogs. I feed the stray cats in my area and usually have between 12-15 cats living at my place. I always try to find good homes for cats, that have been treated successfully and have even found homes for some of them in Germany. In addition to the cats living with me, many strays come visit my house and garden every day. Nowadways, getting the cats to the clinic and covering the treatment cost is very difficult. I don't have a car and the clinic fees are very high. I try to get support through instagram and facebook, to continue rescuing cats in need.
