Çilek was found with his 4 siblings in October 2024. They were all very small and no mother cat could be found. At first there were five kittens, but the first one died very shortly after finding them, before we had chosen a name. (It only lived for a few days.) When they first arrived, they were really very small. The other kittens were fine for a bit at first, but then they fell ill. We brought them to the vet and started the treatment process. At first, they recovered after a short treatment, but later they contracted a serious illness called juvenile disease. (You can read the detailed story in my profile about the five kittens.) Of the remeining 4 kittens, Pamuk was the first to die. A short time later, Fıstık and Duman became ill, and we took them to the veterinarian in the city. We had to leave them at the clinic there. Unfortunately, we received the news that Fıstık had passed away that night. Duman was said to be improving, but a couple of days later, we lost Duman as well. The only cat left alive was Çilek. He lived in our attic for a while.
Because they could not get their mother's milk, Çilek was more prone to getting sick, than he normally would have been. He fell ill in winter. However, he was treated and recovered. Now he has grown up and continues to live in my neighbourhood. He is almost one year old now.
