Mimi is a street cat who got pregnant when she was 5 months old. She lost all her kittens because she had to become a mother when she was very young, so I had her neutered. Afterwards, she was missing for a week and we found her waiting helplessly in the crawl space of an apartment building with a broken leg. She received treatment at the vet by bandaging her leg, but she was left with a permanent limp. If she went back out on the street she wouldn't be able to avoid cars and dogs so I put her in a home for disabled cats.
And in order for Mimi to stay here, I have to buy a package of food for her and her friends every month.
