Twelve years ago, I found him as a tiny kitten on a busy street in Piraeus. His mother was out in the open, crying for food, trying to keep her babies safe. Like many street cats, they took refuge under parked cars. Two of the kittens didn’t make it. I was able to save three — one of them was Parkour.

From the start, Parkour was shy and quiet. At just 7 months old, he had to have some teeth removed. Three years later, the pain came back, and we had to remove more. Then it happened again. Five years ago, he had another surgery. And still, the pain didn’t stop.

I took him to multiple vets, trying to understand why he still wasn’t getting better. He’d stop eating, hide, cry — it was heartbreaking. Finally, a vet recommended a CT scan. That’s when we discovered he had a fractured jaw, likely from the last dental procedure. It explained everything.

Since then, he’s been in and out of clinics. I’ve done everything I can to keep him going — treatment after treatment, trying to manage the pain and get him stable. Right now, he’s on a very expensive medication for stomatitis (Mutoral), but it’s not enough. He’s still in pain, and now he needs a panoramic scan to see what’s really going on.

I’m currently in debt with at least two clinics. I’ve held off asking for help for as long as I could. But I can’t keep up on my own anymore. Parkour is still fighting, and I want to give him every chance to live without constant pain.

If you can contribute, share his story, or even just send support, it would mean the world — to both of us.
From a young age, I've had an undeniable bond with cats. Growing up in a challenging neighborhood, where kids used to torture and kill cats, I found solace and companionship having always a kitten on my lap. Despite the harsh environment, I carried these tiny creatures with me, even if it was outside my of my home as my parents wouldn't let me have a pet. The comfort of a kitten on my lap became a sanctuary amidst the chaos.
One heart-wrenching memory stands out. A tiny kitten, barely alive, had been callously thrown into a river. Overcoming fear and danger, I managed to rescue the helpless creature. That day, my life changed forever. I realized that my love for cats was more than just a fondness; it was a calling.
As the years passed, I found myself rescuing more and more cats, fostering them in my home until I could find loving homes. The number of animals in need grew exponentially, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Faced with an overwhelming influx of abandoned and injured cats, I knew I had to do more.
Creating Foster Kittens Greece was a step towards finding the help I desperately need.y mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned and neglected cats, providing them with the care, love, and second chance they deserve. I strive to create a sanctuary where these vulnerable creatures can find safety, comfort, and ultimately, their forever homes.
With a growing number of cats in my care, I are seeking compassionate individuals to join my mission. By sharing my story and reaching out to the community, I hope to find foster homes, volunteers, and donors who can help me provide the best possible care for these deserving animals.
I am driven by the belief that every life matters. With your support, I can continue to make a difference in the lives of countless cats. Together, we can build a future where no cat is left behind.
