Beba, a baby 2.5 months old, was plucked from the perilous edge of a busy highway. Despite her fortunate rescue, her journey has been fraught with challenges.
After a close call with a flea treatment incident, Beba defied the odds and recovered. However, a new health battle emerged: a life-threatening hiatal hernia. This condition required urgent and complex surgery.
In October 2024, our brave little warrior underwent a delicate operation. Against all odds, Beba awakened from the surgery. Her heart, displaced to the left side, and her internal organs, misplaced within her chest cavity, are a testament to her resilience.
Unfortunately Beba died of complications after the surgery.
From a young age, I've had an undeniable bond with cats. Growing up in a challenging neighborhood, where kids used to torture and kill cats, I found solace and companionship having always a kitten on my lap. Despite the harsh environment, I carried these tiny creatures with me, even if it was outside my of my home as my parents wouldn't let me have a pet. The comfort of a kitten on my lap became a sanctuary amidst the chaos.
One heart-wrenching memory stands out. A tiny kitten, barely alive, had been callously thrown into a river. Overcoming fear and danger, I managed to rescue the helpless creature. That day, my life changed forever. I realized that my love for cats was more than just a fondness; it was a calling.
As the years passed, I found myself rescuing more and more cats, fostering them in my home until I could find loving homes. The number of animals in need grew exponentially, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. Faced with an overwhelming influx of abandoned and injured cats, I knew I had to do more.
Creating Foster Kittens Greece was a step towards finding the help I desperately need.y mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned and neglected cats, providing them with the care, love, and second chance they deserve. I strive to create a sanctuary where these vulnerable creatures can find safety, comfort, and ultimately, their forever homes.
With a growing number of cats in my care, I are seeking compassionate individuals to join my mission. By sharing my story and reaching out to the community, I hope to find foster homes, volunteers, and donors who can help me provide the best possible care for these deserving animals.
I am driven by the belief that every life matters. With your support, I can continue to make a difference in the lives of countless cats. Together, we can build a future where no cat is left behind.
